Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you sign up we collect your email address and the magic-link authentication token we send you. When you use the Service we store the prompts you write, the scene code generated by the AI, the MP4 exports you create, and basic usage metadata (timestamps, aspect ratios, model tier). We do not collect payment card numbers directly; Stripe handles all billing data.

2. How we use your data

We use your email for account authentication, billing receipts, and essential service notifications. We use your stored prompts and scene code solely to let you return to your projects in the editor. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not train AI models on your prompts, code, or outputs.

3. Third-party processors

We use the following sub-processors to operate the Service:

  • Supabase (database + auth, US region)
  • Vercel (hosting, global edge network)
  • Stripe (billing)
  • Anthropic (Claude API — Pro tier generations only)
  • Google (Gemini API — Fast tier generations)

Each processor has its own privacy terms. Data sent to an LLM provider is limited to the prompt you wrote plus the minimum system context needed to generate a scene.

4. Data retention

Projects, prompts and exports are retained as long as your account is active. Deleting a project permanently removes it from our database within 24 hours. Deleting your account permanently removes all your data within 30 days (some aggregated anonymous usage metrics may be retained for operational analysis).

5. Your rights

You may access, export, correct, or delete your personal data at any time from the Account page, or by emailing support@motion.app. If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have additional rights under the GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing.

6. Cross-border data transfers

Our primary servers are hosted in the United States. By using the Service you acknowledge that your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (Supabase session) and language preference (`lang` cookie). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children

Motion is not intended for children under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.
